video.
[Elena has made it down to the Mezzanine and is seated on one of the chairs overlooking the ballroom. A few ghosts wander about behind her, not paying her any more mind than she is of them. In the background, music from the ballroom can be heard floating up to where she is now.]
This should probably go without saying, but if you find another person or a group of people? Stick together. Whatever you do, don't let yourself get separated from each other.
And whatever you do, don't stop. Keep going. Keep fighting if you have to.
[Not much of a peptalk, she supposes, since all of this should be obvious. But should is the operative word. It's readily apparent to her this place makes common sense fly straight out the window. God only knows how many of these spirits have been here and how many others have perished since then. It'd be easy for any number of the Barge residents to get caught in the same trap.]
If you're stuck or in trouble, tell me where you are and I'll come find you. I'm going to try and keep moving back and forth to help people that are stuck or lost. I've been told the lowest level's pretty rough so I'm going to make my way there first just in case.
spam.
[True to her word, Elena is out looking for people, trying to move them up further and further. She'll take people as far as the Gamesman Hall where she'll let others who are better equipped to play a game of chess help people progress from there. But she'll go down into the basement repeatedly, rescuing people from giant spiders and working her way back up to the mezzanine, and beyond.]
[Those that ran into her before her post to the network will find her either in the library definitely not looking at the books, or the menagerie trying not to get killed by a giant fucking robotAdmiral wth is with your obsession with robots lately.]

I think the same general principles apply. Aim, pull the trigger.
[She holds the crossbow out to Letty for her to take.]
We can try to find you something else, but I'd feel a little better if you had something more than just a knife.
[And she's not going to give the axe to Letty. She might be able to hold it and use it, but it could become a liability faster than a crossbow if it gets stuck or if Letty starts to wear out from wielding it.]

Then I got this, no problem. [She doesn't know if she does, but she's confident all the same in her ability to do some damage if given half a chance. She did chase off a spider or two herself before she was cornered. With backup, she expects she can raise that number.]
I got it. We can stop at the drive thru later, I just want outta here.

All right, I'm thinking up is the way to go since down seems to be a dead end.
[Possibly literally, but a pun like that is definitely not intentional on Elena's part. She leads the way out of the room. As eager she is to get out of the basement (and Letty likely is as well), she keeps the pace slow. It's dark down here and while Elena can still see just fine, Letty might struggle. More than that, she doesn't want to alert anything to their presence if it can be avoided.]
[Which doesn't seem all that likely when she hears skittering from just behind them. Elena stops and turns quickly.]

[Letty doesn't make the obvious joke either, instead eager to just be on the move. She's walking as she secures the quiver to her own belt, glancing up and around from her hands as she works, keeping Elena in her peripheral. She keeps up, even though she does almost trip on a few things in the dark, swears under her breath but quietly, unwilling to draw undue attention to them.
She reacts more to Elena than to the noise, because she keeps hearing phantom sounds anyway, her nerves trying to get the best of her and her solidly ignoring them. When Elena whirls, Letty palms her knife again, goes tense as she looks around, jaw set stubbornly. She's not getting cornered again. She's ready this time.
So ready that when the first ball of webbing crashes into her shoulder, she spins and lashes out viciously without thinking about it, almost catching the creature scuttling out of an alcove in the face in the process.]

Letty, up! [She moves forward to stand beside Letty.] I'll deal with this one. Just get that one down.
