Є019 spam/text/voice/video; so far from where i started.
[Elena returns to her cabin after lunch and notices the door leading to her bathroom is closed. Elena freezes, sensing something is different and entirely unseure of what. Swallowing hard, she steps forward and puts a tentative hand on the handle. Opening it, she finds the shared full bathroom she had with her brother. Her heart clenches in her chest at the sight of the smooth wall where another door should be, but she doesn't look away. Instead, she just stands there a while in silence. She needs a few minutes to let it sink in.]
[She can go.]
spam - abigail.
[She knows she should go to Arkin first, but Arkin has to wait. There's someone she needs to see first before him. Elena leaves her room in a hurry and heads to Abigail's, knocking on the door. She realizes, of course, after she knocks that she's woefully unprepared to have this conversation. She doesn't know the right way or the best way to say she's leaving. She knows Abigail will understand. Abigail always does. But she's also not sure how Abigail will handle it in the end. Or if they'll ever see each other again. But it's a conversation that has to happen. So Elena draws a deep breath and steels herself for what is to come.]
spam - arkin.
[After she's had time with Abigail, Elena leaves for Arkin's cabin. Her knock is a little smaller than she intended, but she's already feeling a little emotionally drained and exhausted. But she's still happy. She's happier than she's felt in a long while.]
text - dean.
what do you say to one last drink?
text - bond.
hey jimmy, i got some good news.
voice - harvey.
I did it.
video.
[Elena feels like she should have some kind of speech prepared. Some kind of splendid and memorable goodbye with gratitude to everyone who stuck by her through the worst of her life. She started with no humanity, hating herself and everything her life had become. But gradually, over time, Elena learned to love herself again. She learned to not be afraid of caring. There's a storm of emotions inside of her, good and bad, but she can navigate through them now. And the emotion she feels the most is hope.]
[She'd forgotten what that felt like.]
I really don't know what to say. I guess because I never really thought I'd get to this point.
[She smiles.]
But I guess I graduated.
[She can go.]

[ Spam ] AAAAAAHHHHHHH
[She's shaken from her thoughts when Dean knocks at her door. She unfolds her legs and gets up from her bed to answer. Elena wears a smile because despite how sad she feels at leaving everyone here on the Barge behind, she's still happy. She's happy to have known people like Abigail, like James, like Dean, and even like Cassel. She's happy for herself as well. It's been a long road, but she's managed to get to this point because of herself which is such a change from the past two years of her life.]
[Elena steps aside, opening the door wide.]
Come on in.
[ Spam ] !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He's so proud of her, and he's so happy for her. It makes it easier to look away from how much he doesn't want her to go.]
Hey pickle. [He holds up the whiskey as he slides past her, the glasses behind it, eyebrow raised. She did offer one last drink, after all.
One last. One more. He shakes his head at himself and, instead of saying anything that's piling up in his throat, he affects a mock stern air.] You sure you don't have to drive, young lady?
[ Spam ] MY KOKORO IS NOT READY THO
[Going off bridges, flipping her car, you know. The usual fender bender most teens get into.]
I think I'll walk from now on.
[Elena can smile about it now though. It's in the past and she knows there's not a whole lot she can do to change the outcome of any of it at this point. Acceptance is a weird and funny thing like that.]
[ Spam ] NEITHER IS MINE BUT HERE WE GO
[He sets the glasses down on the nearest horizontal surface and doesn't waste any time pouring them each a couple fingers, setting down the bottle and offering her one, raising the other himself.
If he's quick about it, he can beat the tightness in his chest even though it makes it nowhere near his impish grin.]
Here's to killer gams, because that is a lot of damn walking in your future.
[ Spam ] HOLD ME
So, um. I made you something.
[Elena sets the glass down and crosses her room to her jewelry box. Her cabin is back to the room she grew up in. Before she burned it. She has mixed feelings about leaving it behind, knowing that it won't be there when she goes back. Just like in the memory he saw of her when she was still human, pictures of her family adorn her mirror. Some are new though. Ones she asked for when she was faking good for Racetrack that she now really wants to look at.]
[Elena returns to Dean with a braided bracelet in her hands. She looks at it for a moment.]
It might not work in your world, but if any other vampires like me come around here... [She holds it out to him.] There's vervain inside of it that will prevent compulsion as long as you're wearing it. And in a pinch, it'd be enough to incapacitate a vampire if you could get into their system. You'd have to break the braid to get to it, but...
[Elena shrugs a little. You do what you have to do.]
[ Spam ] /CLINGS SO TIGHTLY
Is that a friendship bracelet? [But he reaches for it anyway, studying it far more seriously than his words would imply. His eyes flick up at her explanation, the corner of his mouth twisting slightly.]
You hurt yourself making this? [He's already looping it around the wrist he's not wearing his watch on, though, trying to adjust it and fasten it one handed.]
[ Spam ]
No, I wore gloves and used tweezers.
[She's not being sarcastic in the least bit. Elena wasn't about to burn herself over and over again though there were a few slip-ups here and there when she wasn't thinking. But it's not like Dean would ever know or need to know anyway.]
[ Spam ]
He ends up using his teeth - carefully - to help him knot it into place, then shakes his hand out a bit, watches where it falls against his skin. Nods his satisfaction, and smiles back up at her.]
Thanks, sweetheart. A face like mine should never go on a meatpuppet. Glad we agree.
[ Spam ]
I don't know why a vampire would want to compel you anyways. You'd probably just end up being a smartass and still manage to make a mess.
[ Spam ]
It's so much better than thinking ahead so he just doesn't, bouncing his eyebrows comically instead, shrugging as he picks up his drink again too.]
Because I'm irresistible, obviously, but really. Why mess with perfection?
Being a smartass and making messes out of everything are my superpowers. I'm a goddamn hero, is what.

For two, that wasn't my fault. That asshole has it all wrong but he won't knock it off with the damn handcuffs long enough to listen to sense. I have got to figure out that dude's safeword.
[ Spam ]
Or, alternatively, you could try not to get arrested so much.
[ Spam ]
[The laughter makes him grin, both incorrigible and encouraged, and he bounces his eyebrows at her just for good measure.]
I'll try to remember that if I get the option in the future, though. "Sorry officer, I'm supposed to be cutting back on my arrests, could you look over there for just a second and leave the key where I can reach it? Much obliged."
[ Spam ]
I just wish I could see your face now the one time that actually works.
[ Spam ]
I'll try to remember to take a selfie. I'm sure if it's dumb enough, Sam'll help me out on that one.
[ Spam ]
You've got a perfect little brother.
[ Spam ]
Dean smirks.]
Don't let him hear you say that. His head won't fit in the car. [But Dean isn't arguing.]
You'll take care-a yourself, right? I don't have to chase you down when I leave here and make sure all the assholes in your world don't need a good talking to?
[ Spam ]
Don't worry. I'll beat up anyone who gives me a hard time. You won't have to sit out with a shotgun, leering at anyone.

The hell am I supposed to do in my old age, huh?
