[With all the weird shit going on around her and the conversations about usurping the Admiral, Elena heads straight for Abigail's room. She knocks and attempts to step inside the moment the door is open because she's used to a general open door policy with Abigail, but instantly takes a step back.]
[She tries again only to be met with the same barrier. She frowns and looks at Abigail.]
What the hell?

[She can't find Arkin anywhere. So, Dean. You're up to bat for help.]
where are you? so help me, you start piling on the smartassery, i will break you in half. i am not in the mood.

[Unfortunately, so are you, Mal.]
before you start breathing down my neck, i'm keeping my fangs to myself. what about you?

While it's nice to see that the sticks have been removed from pretty much everyone's asses, what the hell is going on here?

[Elena has been keeping a low profile as of late. Not out of shame because she doesn't feel any. She actually still feels entirely satisfied with the results of her strike against Cassel and doesn't regret it even a little. But she is noticeably more on edge. Angrier.]
[And that's the last thing she needs.]
[Cassel was justified. Random idiots on the Barge aren't. Elena is emotionless, not amoral.]
[So, she tries to stick to her room as much as possible. She comes out for the occasional bite to eat. Not actual necks, of course. She's slurping down the substitutes like a good little girl and keeping her nose clean in an attempt to keep Arkin off her back. Otherwise, she goes to the gym and demolishes punching bag after punching bag after punching bag. And then there are the times she decides getting drunk in the pub is a better alternative to sitting around getting drunk in her room.]
[And as far as the dead bodies lately are concerned? She doesn't care. She hopes whoever is behind it is having fun.]
