You guys, this needs to stop.
[Elena is stepping into her room, carrying a chair over her shoulder. But where she might normally be passing by and closing a door, she is simply passing through a sheet she has hung up over her doorway. She's not actually that angry about losing her door seeing as how getting back some privacy in her room is semi-easily remedied. But that's a bit of a petty and absurd thing to be manipulating about the ship. The risks don't seem worth it from what she's hearing over the network.]
Whatever is going on with the ship, we shouldn't have this kind of power. We don't know who or what the Admiral...[She hesitates to say. Doesn't want to entertain the possibility.] is. We don't know what kind of effect this will have on any of us or on the Barge.
Just... Stop. Okay? Until we can figure this out, we need to be careful.

[Elena's at the controls for the Enclosure. She was going to go for an outdoor run rather than hitting the treadmill just to...get away from the Barge in a sense, but that's clearly not going to happen.]
I know everyone's getting settled and there may be more important things to worry about, but the Enclosure seems to be down.
[She presses a few buttons to show the lack of response.]

[Anybody can wander in to the enclosure. Like Elena said, she left the door open and as she said, she can be found in the cemetery at her family plot, sitting by the graves of her parents, aunt, uncle, and Alaric. She's set the bottle of Woodford Reserve on top of Alaric's grave though and will leave it behind. If a cemetery is a little too morbid, Elena can be found in the town square, lying on the grass with her eyes closed, or at the local high school gym, playing with a basketball. She might also be sitting at the Mystic Grill, sitting in a booth by herself, or sitting outside her family home on the porch swing.]
[She will leave the enclosure after a while though and can instead be found sitting at a table in the cafeteria or the common rooms both trying to sober up and trying to shake the feelings she's having with little success. Being around people isn't doing a lot for her, so she eventually just retreats back to her cabin, only sparing a passing glance at the room next door.]

[Elena has made it down to the Mezzanine and is seated on one of the chairs overlooking the ballroom. A few ghosts wander about behind her, not paying her any more mind than she is of them. In the background, music from the ballroom can be heard floating up to where she is now.]
This should probably go without saying, but if you find another person or a group of people? Stick together. Whatever you do, don't let yourself get separated from each other.
And whatever you do, don't stop. Keep going. Keep fighting if you have to.
[Not much of a peptalk, she supposes, since all of this should be obvious. But should is the operative word. It's readily apparent to her this place makes common sense fly straight out the window. God only knows how many of these spirits have been here and how many others have perished since then. It'd be easy for any number of the Barge residents to get caught in the same trap.]
If you're stuck or in trouble, tell me where you are and I'll come find you. I'm going to try and keep moving back and forth to help people that are stuck or lost. I've been told the lowest level's pretty rough so I'm going to make my way there first just in case.

So, at the risk of beating a very dead horse, I was thinking about college. I'm planning on going there once I'm done here.
[She thinks she will anyway. It was always the plan when she was still human and while she's not one to really listen to anything Damon Salvatore has to say anymore, the idea that she can still have and do some things she wanted to do as a human is something worth listening to.]
I'm just wondering if there's anybody who's interested in maybe a study group or teaching something. I know the teaching annex is gone and it's been a little bit of a struggle with classes, so I was thinking maybe something like this might be a little easier to work with. I'm obviously not fully qualified to teach anything, but I can help people with writing and literature if anybody's interested.
And for something a little less academic, I've also got plenty of self-defense training. It was mostly directed at vampires, but I can modify it to not include stakes.

And that's open for anybody who wants to learn some self-defense or just wants to practice.

[Elena likes to spends her time surrounded by nature. She's been on the Barge for a while now, but the cold metals of most of the Barge is unsettling to her and she'd much rather spend time surrounded by green. So, she's taken herself to the CES. She still finds it so fascinating that it's able to create a fake world like this that seems so real without the assistance of magic, but she doesn't bother trying to pick it apart and instead simply enjoy what's there.]
[Elena has spread out a blanket and a few pillows where she is seated. She's brought food and drink with her as well. She's settled herself down beside a quiet brook in the middle of the woods. She feels right at home here. Elena is smiling when the communicator is turned on. She's using magic to hold it away from herself. It still feels strange being able to use it so openly, but you won't hear any complaints from her.]
If anyone should like to join me in the CES for a picnic, you are welcome to. I've brought enough to share.

She started with no humanity, hating herself and everything her life had become. But gradually, over time, Elena learned to love herself again. She learned to not be afraid of caring. There's a storm of emotions inside of her, good and bad, but she can navigate through them now. And the emotion she feels the most is hope.]
